Teleflex Power Systems Continues to Strengthen Its Position in Latin American Alternative Fuel Market

May 5, 2009

LIMERICK, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May. 5, 2009-- Teleflex Power Systems, a division of Teleflex Incorporated, continued its expansion into Latin America by securing an order in Venezuela for its Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) fuel systems. In the past year, Teleflex Power Systems was able to position itself as one of the preferred suppliers for one of the largest government-driven CNG switchovers in the region. Teleflex Power Systems supplies fuel systems for four, six and eight cylinder light duty engines.

“We have been very supportive of this Government program and are pleased to learn that our efforts paid dividends as evidenced by the receipt of this order. We plan to continue to assist this program, not only because it brings economic advantages to the people of Venezuela, but also because it makes a great deal of environmental sense,” said Kam Mofid, President of Teleflex Power Systems.
