LIMERICK, Pa., Oct 24, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE: TFX), a leading global provider of
medical devices for critical care and surgery, has announced several new
agreements with Novation for Teleflex's Arrow(R) central venous access
(CVC) products, Hudson RCI(R) and Gibeck(R) respiratory products, Sheridan(R)
and Rusch(R) endotracheal tubes and Pleur-evac(R) chest drainage systems.
The agreements begin January 1, 2012 and extend through December 31,
2014. Novation is the health care industry's leading supply contracting
company for the members of VHA, UHC and Provista.
The agreements cover:
- The full range of Arrow non-tunneled central venous access catheters,
many of which are available in the ErgoPack(TM) System, a packaging
system designed to support compliance with best practice and
guidelines for catheter insertion. In addition, more than 30 studies
and reviews support the ARROWg+ard(TM) catheter technology's ability to
reduce the incidence of central line-associated bloodstream infection
(CLABSI).
- Teleflex's comprehensive portfolio of Hudson RCI and Gibeck
respiratory products designed to meet patient needs throughout the
Respiratory Pyramid of Care, including products for oxygen and aerosol
therapy, humidification, filtration and non-invasive ventilation.
Teleflex is an awarded supplier in three subcategories in the new
Novation Airway Management Committed Portfolio--Ventilator Disposables,
Routine Respiratory and Small Volume Nebulizers.
- Teleflex's full line of clinically differentiated endotracheal tubes,
endobronchial tubes and intubation accessories. This includes the
ISIS(R) HVT(TM), a convertible endotracheal tube that provides better
access to best practices in airway management. The agreement also
includes Teleflex's Sheridan and Rusch brands, which demonstrate
Teleflex's continued commitment to design products that enhance
procedural efficiency and promote patient safety during intubation.
- The full line of Pleur-evac chest drainage products, the
premier solution for thoracic, cardiovascular, trauma and critical
care. The agreement also covers the Pleur-evac pneumonectomy unit,
autotransfusion bags and thoracic catheters.
"We value our partnership with Novation and its VHA, UHC and Provista
