Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE: TFX), a leading global provider of medical
devices for critical care and surgery, has announced it was recently
awarded a new agreement from Novation for its complete line of Arrow®
Intra-Aortic Balloon Catheters and Pumps. Novation is a leading health
care supply chain expertise, analytics and contracting services
organization.
The agreement, effective January 1, 2014, will provide the more than
65,000 members served by Novation with a variety of offerings from
Teleflex, including the AutoCAT®2 WAVE®
Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump with the proprietary wave algorithm that
detects the aortic valve closure point for each beat as it occurs. This
technology enables accurate timing based on the individual
characteristics of each heartbeat, as it occurs in real time, even
during severe arrhythmia. Teleflex also provides a wide range of IAB
catheters with unique features such as a wire reinforced catheter body
to reduce the risk of kinking.
