Teleflex Purpose-Driven Trivia Challenge Supports ARCF Efforts to
Honor Respiratory Therapy History
LIMERICK, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 18, 2013--
Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE:TFX), a leading global provider of medical
devices for critical care and surgery, donated $25,000 to the American
Respiratory Care Foundation (ARCF) as part of its Purpose-Driven Trivia
Challenge at the Teleflex booth during the American Association for
Respiratory Care (AARC) Congress 2013 in Anaheim, CA, November 16-18.
The trivia challenge tested attendees’ knowledge of respiratory therapy
in practice, including clinical protocols and safety standards. In
partnership with ARCF, every successful trivia challenge participant
personalized a brick for the ARCF virtual museum which helped Teleflex
towards the donation goal. With the help of AARC Congress attendees,
Teleflex donated a total of $25,000 to the American Respiratory Care
Foundation at the AARC Congress 2013.
The trivia challenge was a key component of the Teleflex AARC Congress
2013 presence — a presence designed to celebrate the past and build for
the future of respiratory care. The challenge benefited the American
Respiratory Care Foundation and supports their efforts to build a
virtual museum that honors the contributions of respiratory therapists
and equipment advances throughout modern medical history as well as
their purpose of supporting research, education and charitable
activities.
“Teleflex, with its donation of $25,000 for virtual bricks in our
virtual museum, is helping to facilitate future development of the
ARCF,” said Michael T. Amato, Chair, ARCF. “The bricks reflect building
blocks for the continual evolution of respiratory care.”
The ARCF is a not-for-profit organization formed for the purpose of
supporting research, education, and charitable activities. It seeks to

Association for Respiratory Care, has a strong history of delivering
