Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE: TFX), a leading global provider of medical
devices for critical care and surgery, will showcase its interventional
radiology solutions at the European Association for Percutaneous
Cardiovascular Interventions Course to be held in Paris, France on May
21-24, 2013
During the event, the Company will highlight its diversified range of
products for interventional procedures such as transradial access kits,
angiographic diagnostic catheters and cath lab focused kink-resistant
sheath products. In addition, a range of innovative peripheral
angioplasty catheters will be reviewed.
The Company will focus special attention on the unique GPSCath™ Balloon
Dilatation Catheter, which is based on the use of the VisioValve™
technology. The GPSCath™ Catheter is a specialty two-in-one device that
is intended for dialysis access and peripheral vascular interventions.
It allows the physician to conduct angioplasty and inject fluid while
maintaining catheter and guidewire position.
A “How To Treat” session is scheduled for Wednesday, May 22nd
at 16:45h – 18:15h in EuroPCR Room 241. Prof. Marc R. Sapoval of the
Georges Pompidou European Hospital in Paris, Prof. S. Qanadli of the
University Hospital of Lausanne, Dr. M. DiPrimio of the Georges Pompidou
European Hospital in Paris and Dr. V. Stratiev from Centre Cardiologique
du Nord, Paris, will discuss and explore the possibilities of reducing
contrast volume and fluoroscopy time with the GPSCath™ balloon
dilatation catheter during complex percutaneous transluminal angioplasty
procedures.
