Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE: TFX), a leading global provider of medical
technologies for critical care and surgery, has announced its Anesthesia
Division has signed two new group purchasing agreements with
HealthTrust, one for laryngeal mask airways and the other for pain
management solutions.
The new agreement for laryngeal mask airways, which became effective
March 15, 2016, provides HealthTrust’s 1,400 plus member hospitals with
access to Teleflex’s wide range of single-use and reusable LMA®
Airways. LMA® Airway Management solutions from Teleflex
support the use of advanced anesthesia techniques to help clinicians
improve patient outcomes and manage healthcare costs. The LMA®
brand offers a range of innovative airway management devices, including
Cuff Pilot™ Technology, a cuff pressure indicator for
single-use airway management devices. This technology enables clinicians
to confirm that the inserted cuff is properly inflated and to monitor
pressure levels, reducing the risk of airway leaks and trauma.
The second new agreement, effective May 1, 2016, will offer a full line
of Arrow® Regional Anesthesia products, including continuous
nerve block kits and sets, epidural catheters and kits, peripheral nerve
block needles and pain management accessories. The Arrow®
Pain Management portfolio from Teleflex includes products designed to
improve patients’ post-operative pain experience.
